This week we have begun learning about the Easter story. As part of our RE topic, we have been making Easter gardens! The children have worked so hard to make their gardens special.
We are all set up for the children to explore all things fishy!! We have created a mermaid writing cave and an under water investigation area to learn about all the different animals that live under the sea 🌊. You might also spot activities to enhance fine motor skills and turn-taking!
We had a great day celebrating our favourite books! Can you recognise any of the characters?
In Foundation Stage we are loving having stories about pirates, and this week you might notice Mermaid Lagoon, a jelly rockpool and a pirate ship – plenty of places for adventure!
We also found a treasure chest, and are writing down what we think is inside…we will find out on Friday! We are practising counting backwards and saying what number is one less.
Thank you for bringing in boxes last week – we have made them into treasure chests which you can see in our Junk Modelling Area – there is a photo below.
The Early Years room is all set up for the children to explore the wonderful story of Supertato (who is our to stop the Evil Pea!)
During the week the children will be making their own hero and villain as well as designing their own traps to snare the Evil Pea!
Welcome back to Early Years!
The classroom has been set up around our theme of ‘Superheroes!’
We’re looking forward to seeing the children mix and make potions, design and create their own outfits and create their own bases and dens!
We’ll be comparing sizes by building our own city of sky scrapers and make our own real life city!
The staff have been busy (again!) and have a wonderful environment set up for your lucky children!
